This means that parishioners and many others will be able to participate at Mass from a distance if they are unable to come in person.

During the Mass, you are encouraged to make an act of Spiritual Communion at Holy Communion time.

Obviously, this does not replace the actual physical reception of the Holy Eucharist, but can be a moment of intense personal prayer.

‘My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. I fervently ask, never let me be parted from You. Amen.’
