Fulham Camerata Choir present – GLORIES OF THE BAROQUE – including Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Vivaldi’s Gloria – Sunday 19^th March 2023 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm – here at Holy Cross Church. This Concert will explore music from the well known trio of Bach, Handel and Vivaldi, as well as revisiting Monteverdi, a composer the choir are more familiar with, having tackled his Vespers in Nov 2022. It also includes the lesser known Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Magnificat. The first half of the concert begins with Handel’s rousing Zadok, the priest, Bach’s ethereal O Jesu Christ Mains Lebens Licht, and Monteverdi’s charming Beatus Vir. The programme finishes with Vivaldi’s famous Gloria. Fulham Camerata is delighted to welcome string quartets from Godolphin & Latymer School and the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School to accompany the choir throughout the concert together with Chris Potts, the choirs brilliant accompanist and Director of Music at Holy Cross Church.
